     My daughter has gone to Desert Bloom for almost 2 years and we have been VERY impressed with her preschool program! Not only has my daughter learned the ABC and 123 but is also learning how to be a good person and how treat others. We also love the small class size as I know my daughter is getting the attention she needs. Miss Amy herself is a wonderful person and has many qualifications. My daughter absolutely loves her and looks forward to going to school everyday! Her prices are also very reasonable compared to other preschools which is nice too! The education and people skills my daughter is getting are priceless! We HIGHLY recommend Desert Bloom to anyone looking for a great preschool!    -Lindsey

 

     

     When I started thinking about my daughter starting preschool, I thought that it would be a difficult transition, but instead it was so exciting and fun and joyful! 
     I'm a perfectionist and I had very high expectations for a preschool and Ms. Amy has exceeded them all. 
Academically my daughter is beyond ready for Kindergarten. And not only has she begun to read and do simple math, she has taught me so many new things too. When they learned about space and she would come home talking about it, I'd often have to use google to be able to keep up with her :). Ms. Amy also encourages creativity which I highly value.
Ms. Amy has all the credentials you would want for your child's teacher, but most importantly she has a gift when it comes to working with children. She has become a friend and a resource for me when dealing with new and challenging situations with our daughter.
     Recently a friend commented on how mature and well behaved my daughter was at a recent event and she asked what we were doing and I had to give all the credit to Ms. Amy. She does an absolutely incredible job helping kids learn how to deal with their emotions, solving conflicts, and just social situations in general.
     This preschool is also very clean and organized. In the two years we've been here, my daughter was never once sick because of another child being sick at school. And my daughter had the flu and none of the other kids at school got it - which I was very thankful for!
     Ms. Amy always emails the parents the lesson plan and schedule for the week along with detailed information on snacks being served, books being read, etc.
She often sends notes home with fun details about your child's day. Once a week we also receive photos from the past week which is always really great to see!
     My daughter absolutely loves going to school. I could go on an on about all the reasons why I highly recommend Desert Bloom Preschool. There's not one single thing I'd change about our experience here. I know I'm not the easiest parent to deal with, but Ms. Amy has always been so welcoming and accommodating.
     If you have the opportunity to send your child to Desert Bloom Preschool, DO IT!   -Cristi 

 

     Desert Bloom Preschool is the perfect balance of academics integrated with social skills. Ms. Amy is amazing, organized, friendly, and always studying to learn the best practices in early childhood education. As a kindergarten teacher, reading specialist and mother, I could not be MORE pleased with Ms. Amy. We are so thrilled with my daughter's growth and most of all happiness about going to school and saying, "I love to learn" or "let's find a solution." Thank you for all you do Ms. Amy!

     It is difficult to find the words to review such an amazing place as Ms Amy's preschool. My daughter was fortunate enough to attend Desert Bloom preschool for 2 years and I wouldn't have done it any other way. Desert Bloom preschool has seriously exceeded all of my expectations. It is such a nurturing and warm environment that the students can't help but flourish. Ms Amy addresses everything from proper personal hygiene (the kids wash their hands upon arrival), healthy eating (snacks consist of fig bars, organic fruit, yogurt, etc) and a complete love of learning. Sample weekly themes have been space, the 5 senses, instruments, the Olympics, and zoo animals. A day at Ms Amy's preschool consists of all the favorite staples of preschool; outside time, circle time, music and movement, and then individual one on one time for teacher-directed learning. And because she is such an experienced teacher, Ms Amy is able to gear her school towards both young preschoolers as well as the older ones. My Amy also does a great job of keeping parents involved through weekly notes home, weekly classroom pictures, quarterly parent teacher meetings, and parent volunteering opportunities. Seriously, if you have the chance to enroll your little one at Desert Bloom preschool please do not think twice about it.   -Lori

     

     Amy has been such a gift to my daughter's classroom this year. Her patience and kindness cannot be overstated. She seems to have created a special bond with my daughter that I know is not, in fact, special to my daughter, because she treats all the children that way. The only reason we won't be signing up with Amy's preschool is the 2 hour commute!  -Marisa

 

 

     Amy has been a fantastic teacher for my son this year. Her positive energy and gentle manner with the students creates a wonderful and friendly classroom environment. My son can be quite shy, and transitioning from home to school can be difficult for him sometimes. I have always felt comfortable leaving him with Amy in the mornings; she is able to help him feel comfortable and calm. We are so grateful that she has been our teacher!  -Colleen

 

   

     Lucas and I will miss you.  You are a great teacher and we love the way you communicate with parents. Your teaching goes beyond the practice, you also see each child as a human being and always pay attention to their needs.  I will never forget your advice about Lucas and the best lunch and snacks options for him.  I am still working on that but your notes and ideas, including sharing the book, helped us a lot! Thank you so much!  Lucas is also a happy kid because of teachers like you providing a safe, fun and great environment to learn and play. -Nadia
