Daily Schedule

8:30 - 9:05 a.m. Outdoor Time

Outdoor time is where children have fun developing gross motor skills and engage in pretend play. Every day children may choose to ride tricycles around a track, play in the sand box, or play house in a natural vine teepee. Other outdoor activities rotate weekly and include slide, parachute, t-ball, balls to kick and throw, tunnels, a mini-trampoline and more.

9:10 - 9:30 a.m. Morning Circle

During morning circle children sing songs and have fun learning! Children learn literacy skills, how to solve problems with friends, math and science concepts, and more.

9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Morning Activity Time

Children participate in different hands-on activities, including STEM projects, that are developed around learning objectives and the theme.

10:00 - 10:20 a.m. Morning Snack

Parents provide their own child with a snack. Children enjoy conversations with each other while we eat, expanding on what we are learning in class.

10:20 - 10:30 a.m. Book and Puzzle Time

Children read books and work on puzzles independently or with a friend.

10:30 - 10:40 a.m. Read Aloud

A book that correlates with the weekly theme is read aloud and discussed together. Children are asked to think critically and share opinions and ideas about the book selection.

10:40 Movement Time

Time to sing and dance!

10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Child Choice Time

Children are able to choose any activity of their choice or may choose from centers such as sensory table, blocks, pretend play, or artwork at an easel. Hands-on, engaging activities are provided every week that children may choose from that correlate with the theme.

11:45 - Noon  Mystery Box/Closing Circle

Every day a different child gets to bring an item from home. But unlike show and tell, children develop clues for their friends to guess what they have in the mystery box!  We also talk about our day and sing a closing song.
